Apple and Cherry cake


Ingredients

2 Apples

a box of Cherries (around 20)

3 eggs

100 g unsalted butter

120 g sugar

1/2 tsp salt

230 g flour

1 Tbsp baking powder

2 tbsp milk

1 tsp vanilla essence

Icing sugar



Method

Pre heat oven to 350°F. Wash and cut the apples with the skins on. Wash and drain the cherries and deseed them and cut into pieces. Line a baking pan and keep aside till needed.



mix the butter and sugar and beat in an egg at a time till well blended. Add in the milk and then gradually add in the flour and salt and mix lightly. Then add in the apple and cherries and fold in carefully.



Pour into the buttered dish and bake for 30-35 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar once taken out of the oven.



You could add lemon Zest and lemon juice for a better flavour.
