Apple Puff Pastry Tart


Ingredients

1 pkt puff pastry (you can make your own)

120 g strawberry jam

2 apples

lemon juice

10 g brown sugar

10 g cinnamon powder

handful of raisins

handful of grilled almonds


for the top

1 egg yolk

30 ml milk

10 g brown sugar





Method

Set oven to 180°C. Peel and cut apples either into two or into 4 pieces and slice. Put in a container and add the lemon juice, sugar, cinnamon powder and raisins. Mix together and keep aside.



Layout the puff pastry on a lined tray and rub strawberry jam (keep 20 g Jam aside) in the centre and then cover with the apple mix. Then spread the almonds on top. Then take one side of the puff pastry and place over the centre, then rub the balance 20g of jam and cover with the pastry on the other side. Once the roll is made press with a fork. Put the egg yolk with the milk and beat and rub on the full roll of pastry. Sprinkle the balance brown sugar on top and bake for 35 minutes.



to mark the lines place a fryin spoon and mark the same size to cut into the pastry. This is easier to spearate once baked.



Et voila!! your tea time dish or dessert is ready.
