Ingredients
1 medium Broccoli crown
1 green chili
2 cloves of garlic
1/4 of an onion
handful of grated fresh coconut
1/2 tsp salt
For Tempering
2 tsp coconut oil
1/2 tsp brown mustard seeds
4 dried chilies
1 sprig curry leaves
Method
Wash broccoli head and break the florets and tender stem parts and add into a grinder/Food Processor. Add the fresh grated coconut, sliced onion and cut green chili along with the garlic cut into slices and salt and grind.
Run the food processor on low for about 15 seconds or until they all break down to small pieces. Do not over grind, as this will end up as a paste.
Keep a fry pan and heat on stove then add in the coconut oil and when warm add in the mustard seeds. When they start to splatter add in the red chillies deseeded and broken into pieces and the curry leaves. Be careful when you add the curry leaves as they can splatter. Now add in the broccoli mix and stir fry for 4 minutes on medium heat till the taste of raw broccoli has gone. Add salt to taste if not enough.
Very tasty green with your rice and curry.
