Writer: Manique AbayasekaraManique Abayasekara

Ingredients

100 g butter

300 g dark chocolate

4 eggs

130 g sugar

a pinch of salt

1 pkt vanilla sugar

100 g flour

150 pecan nuts - I used almonds

Method

Turn on the oven to 180°C. Grate the chocolate.

Take a spring form pan and line it with parchment paper sides to be above the tin.

Melt the butter in a pan, take off from heat and add the chocolate, mix nicely and keep aside.

In a bowl add the eggs and beat with sugar, vanilla sugar and the salt. Then mix in the chocolate/butter mix. Then fold in the flour and nuts and pour into prepared pan.

Bake for 30minutes at 180°C. Open clip and slide the base onto a rack to cool along with the parchment paper.

When done take off the spring form sides of the pan and slowly slide the parchment paper onto a cooling rack. I used my sweet/candy cutter to mark the squares.

Keep to cool and then put into an airtight box to keep in the moisture. Tasty when eaten with vanilla ice cream!!
