Chicken Pies


Ingredients

2 Chicken breast Bacon cut into small pieces 2 Potatoes 2 Carrots 1 Onions 1 tsp Corn flour Pepper and salt A little cold milk 1 Pastry sheet

Method

Cut the chicken breast into cubes, peel the potatoes and cut into cubes, carrots cuts into slices and quarter, slice the onions. First put the bacon in the pan and fry till golden then put all the other ingredients and bring to the boil with a little water. Add pepper and salt to taste. Take a little cold milk and dissolve the corn flour. Once the chicken and potatoes are boiled put in the corn flour and mix till slightly thick. Butter the dishes, cut the pastry in a circle and press into each mould. Cut an outer circle to cover the top of the pastry. Fill in the chicken mix and press down the cover of pastry and stick the edges. Make a hole in the centre of each to let the seam escape. Brush with milk and bake in a moderate oven for 20 minutes or till golden brown.
