Chocolate Amaretto Cake


Ingredients

1st step

500 gms Amaretto biscuits

100 gms flaked Almonds

100 gms sugar

1 rind of an orange


2 step

4 eggs – beat in a bowl

100 gms chopped butter


3 step

150 gms 70% dark chocolate – melted over simmering water in a double boiler – add to food processor


Method

Pre heat oven to 180°C - Butter a 20 cm cake tin and line with grease proof paper at the bottom

Put No 1 in a food processor – add number 2 to food process and finally add number 3 to food

Processor. Put food processor on and give a quick mix and pour into buttered dish and bake at 180˚C for 35 mts – keep in tin for 10 mts before turning out and cooling on a rack.


for the frosting - use butter cream icing. If you prefer you could add a few drops of amaretto Liqueur.
