Chocolate Gelato

This took 40 minutes to be ready in my ice cream machine



Ingredients

150 g sugar

200 g milk – 200 ml

200 g cream – 200 ml

75 g dark bitter chocolate

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla (a pinch of vanillin)


Method

Break the chocolate into pieces and melt it together with some milk and vanillin in a double saucepan over hot water. Whisk egg together with sugar, add remaining milk, cream and the melted chocolate perfectly cooled.


Prepare the ice cream machine – add the vodka in the bottom of the ice cream maker, then place the removable bucket start the motor and let run for 5 minutes.


finally pour the cooled ice cream mixture into the ice cream maker bowl. Churn in Ice Cream maker, once the sound changes and the blades turn in the opposite direction the ice cream is ready for the freezer.
