How to make an Edible Penguin with Fondant


Items needed

toothpicks

rolling mat

rolling pin

paint brush

water

Black fondant

White fondant


How to make a penguin as per the photos below

Take 76 g of black fondant

take 22 g of white fondant


Method

You need Black fondant for the

Body 45 g of black fondant,

Face 18 g black fondant,

Arms each 6 g x2 black fondant

Eyes 1 g x 2 tiny balls of Black fondant


White fondant

Chest 6 g white fondant

Feet each 6 g white fondant x 2

Beak 2 g white fondant

Hat 2 g white fondant x 2

Eyes 1 g White fondant balls x 2


Height of made Penguin 3 “

Weight of made Penguin 104 g


make the balls and shape the body as per the photos - Place a toothpick to the base of the body, to fit the head onto the body - paste them together with water. Keep to dry at room temperature - Store in card board box. Never put into fridge. It will start sweating!!



How to make an edible Santa with fondant

Needed

Fondant – red, black, green and white or Only white fondant and Food Colouring Gel or powder

Tooth picks for colouring

1 toothpick to fit head onto body

Paint brush and water


Method

Either take white fondant and with food gel or powder colouring and colour the fondant. Take a toothpick and put in a bit of gel to colour each piece of fondant. Use a new toothpick each time. Or take already coloured fondant and make the required shapes.

Ref fondant for the body 46 g

Red fondant for the feet 12 g each

Red fondant for the cap 23 g

Red fondant for the sleeves 10g each


Black fondant for the shoes 10 g each

Black fondant for the eyes – 2 small balls

Pink fondant for the face 20 g

White fondant for the beard 10 g

White fondant for the ball on the hat 1 g

White fondant for the moustache 1 g

Green fondant for each hand 5 g


Shape as shown in pictures and paste them together with water on your paint brush. Put a toothpick at the bottom of the face and prick it into the neck, cut the toothpick if too long. Keep to dry at room temperature. Store in card board box.

Never put into fridge. It will start sweating!


Total weight of Santa 174 g and total height of Santa 3 inches


How to make an edible Snow Man with fondant.

Needed

Fondant – red, black, and white or Only white

fondant and Food Colouring Gel or powder

Tooth picks for colouring

1 toothpick to fit head onto body

Paint brush and water


Method

Either take white fondant and with food gel or powder colouring and colour the fondant. Take a toothpick and put in a bit of gel to colour each piece of fondant and roll together. Use a new toothpick each time. Or take already coloured fondant and make the required shapes.


Ref fondant for the scarf 2 g

Orange fondant for nose 1 g

Black fondant for walking stick 2 g

Black fondant for the hat 10 g

Black fondant for the eyes – 2 small balls

Black fondant for the eyelids and mouth – 3 small pieces

White fondant for the face 36 g

White fondant for the body 44 g

White fondant for the arms 10 g each


Shape as shown in pictures and paste them together with water on your paint brush. Put a toothpick at the bottom of the face and prick it into the body, cut the toothpick if too long. Keep to dry at room temperature. Store in card board box. Never put into fridge. It will start sweating.

Total weight of Snowman 118g and total height of Snowman 3.5 inches
