Christmas trees made with butter


Ingredients

for plain butter

Butter slightly soft


or for any Herb Butter of your choice


for Garlic Herb Butter

unsalted butter

parsley

thyme

chives

garlic

salt

black pepper


Method

Chop the parsley, thyme, chives into small pieces, crush the garlic and mix in a bowl with the soft butter, add pepper and salt to taste. Then fill into the silicon mould and keep in freezer for at least 2 hours and thn unmould.



Cilantro Lime Herb Butter


Ingredients

1/2 cup unsalted butter 1 clove garlic

1 1/2 tablespoons fresh cilantro

1/2 tablespoon fresh lime juice

Zest of a lime

Salt and black pepper


Method

Take softened butter and add the minced garlic and cut the cilantro very fine add this and then add in the lime juice and the zest of the lime and salt and pepper to taste.

Then fill into the silicon mould and keep in freezer for at least 2 hours and the unmould.



I took silicon moulds in the shape of Christmas trees and pressed in the slightly melted butter and kept in fridge to set. Then I unmoulded them and kept in a box and during Christmas kept in a butter dish to eat with Bruedher or croissants/bread.
