Dark Chocolate and Hazelnut Cookies

Ingredients

465 g flour 40 gm hazelnut flour 300g butter 200g icing sugar 4 g baking powder 2 g orange peel 90g egg yolks 25 g hazelnut paste


For the plaque

250g dark chocolate


Method

For the cookies:

In a bowl mix the softened butter with the icing sugar and the orange peel, then add egg yolks previously beaten at room temperature and the hazelnut paste. Then add the flours and the baking powder and mix them together.


Shape out a rectangle with the obtained mixture and put it in the fridge to rest for about ¾ hours. Wrapped in a cling foil.


Stretch out the mixture with a rolling pin and start stamping the dough with the cutter for cookies. Put in the oven at 170 C(338°F) for 10/12 minutes.


For the Plaques:

Melt the dark chocolate and, pour the chocolate over the biscuits. stamp with cookie stamps if you have them
