Ingredients
2 ripe mangoes or pulp of Tinned Alphonso mangoes 1/2 cup sugar 2 Pinches salt
1 1/4 cups milk
4 tbsp cornflour
1/4 cup milk to mix cornflour
juice of half a lime
mint leaves
thinly sliced mango
Method
Take 4 Tbsp Cornflour and 1/4 cup milk mix together and keep aside till needed.
Take a blender and blend together the mango, sugar, salt and milk, then put into a pan and keep on fire and bring to a boil then add the cornflour mixed with milk and stir vigorously for 4-5 minutes till bubbles appear, turn off the heat and stir. Add lime juice at the end to avoid curdling.
I put the saucepan in the sink filled with cold water to cool faster.
Pour into greased containers, cool at room temp and refrigerate for 2-3 hrs. Unmould carefully. Decorate with a mint leave n mangoes sliced/cubed. This can be put into a big fluted dish to chill or individual cups.
