I made two 2 x 6 inch moist chocolate cakes, sandwich together with chocolate butter cream icing and then shaved the cake in the shape of a flower pot. Roll out the light brown coloured fondant for the pot and paste it onto the butter cream. Paste another band of fondant on the top to give the effect of a rim for the flower pot.
I covered the top of the cake with chocolate butter cream and added crushed Oreo cookies to give a soil effect.
Roses, leaves and other flowers were hand made with fondant and placed on top of the cake
