Made a chocolate cake, made chocolate butter cream icing and covered the full cake with icing. Then with fondant hand made roses and other flowers I placed them at the opening where they can be seen.
I took a round cake tin and poured melted chocolate (bain-marie) and made a thick chocolate circle for the top of the cake cover, When set I place the chocolate ring side wards with the opening over the fondant flowers and then iced a basket weave on top the chocolate slab and also around the base with icing nozzle No 47. There are other sizes that you can use too.
