Ingredients 2 pckts fried onions (400 gm each) Prepare before making: 4 tsp chili pieces 4 tsp chili powder Garlic about 3 pips chopped fine A sprig of curry leaves Maldive fish chips (Umbalakada) Salt Juice of a lime
Olive oil
Method
In a wok heat two tablespoons olive oil – when warm fry the curry leaves and add the garlic. Then add the chili pieces and chili powder, add fried onions packets and mix well. Then add salt and mix well on low heat. Add lime juice and lastly add Maldive fish chips.
Cool and then bottle
You can add fried Sprats or fried Katurumurunga leaves (known as Hummingbird tree in English)
