Ingredients
125g butter
250g icing sugar
1 tsp vanilla
a few tbsp of milk for dripping consistency
Method
Simple butter-cream icing -
Beat the butter till it is creamy then gradually add the icing sugar, vanilla and beat on low for two minutes. The icing should be ready, if too thick add a tablespoon or two of milk.
Once your butter-cream icing is ready, lay a cling foil on the table, put the icing in the centre and roll up like a sweet, cut one end before you put into an icing bag which already has the nozzle inserted.
Put the nozzle into your piping bag and place the rolled up icing in the bag after cutting the piece of cling film at one end.
Then press down on the bag whilst twisting the top.
