Ingredients 4 eggs 1 cup flour ¾ cup sugar 2 oz margarine 1 tsp vanilla 3 tablespoon milk 1 tsp baking powder
1 or 2 drops of colouring of your choice
Make twice this quantity*
Method
Preheat oven to 350°F/180°C. Prepare 7" round/square baking pan.
Beat eggs and sugar until it is light and fluffy. Fold in flour and baking powder (sieved 3 times) add milk and melted butter and vanilla. Fold in.
Put into prepared tin and bake for 30 - 35 minutes.
Add in spoons full of cake mix (plain colour) keeping a space in between. Add green colouring (or leave it plain) Then colour the balance cake batter in pink and fill in the balance spaces as shown below – decorate and ice as desired
