Rice Flour Waffles

I was able to make 5 waffles with this quantity

Ingredients

300 g Rice flour

1.5 tsp Baking powder for dough

2 Eggs

1.5 tsp Sugar

a pinch of Salt

Vanillin (is derived from the vanilla pod) to taste

50 g Butter

220 ml Milk




Method

Take a Pyrex dish and heat the milk in the microwave till melted and keep aside to cool.

Add vanillin and salt to the cooled mixture. Stir. then add the eggs, sugar. Stir until smooth.

Add flour and baking powder. Mix well.


The dough should be airy, light and creamy.

Heat the waffle iron. Rub vegetable oil on the plates. Pour in 2 tablespoons each and close the lid.



Bake for 5 minutes until golden brown.


Serve ready-made waffles with your savoury curries/sambals or sweet items!
