Rainbow Cake


Ingredients

2 ½ cups Flour

2 cups Sugar

2 ¼ tsp Baking powder

½ tsp Salt

¾ cup veg Oil

4 eggs

1 tsp vanilla

1 cup milk

Red colour food gel

Green colour food gel

3 bowls

3 size ice cream scoops

For the icing

Method

Set the oven to 350°F, butter and line a round baking pan of 8"

Put the Flour, sugar, baking powder and salt – Sieve three times and then add into a mixer and beat then add oil whist mixing and eggs one at a time, then pour in the vanilla and the milk. When all are combined - divide the batter into 3 bowls, one has to have a little more batter and the other two the same amount of batter. Add green colouring into one small batter and the red colour to the other batter. Let the remaining bigger batter be the original butter colour.

Take a round baking pan 8 inch and take a large ice cream scoop and put a large scoop of plain batter, then on top of that a medium scoop of green batter and on top of that 2 small scoops of red batter. Keep repeating this pattern on top till all batter is used up and this will spread out.

Bake for 35 or 40 minutes.


When the cake is cool cut in half and put white butter cream icing, cover the cake with the other half and cover with white butter cream. Decorate as desired.
