Pizza Margherita or Mixed Pizza
Use The basic pizza base - this will make 4 Pizza 20cm
Ingredients
500g flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cube (around 10 g) Yeast
335 ml warm water
2 Tbsp Olive oil
8 tbsp Sauce for pizza
300g Mozzarella
1 bunch Basil
pepper a little
Method
In a large bowl mix together the salt and the flour. Put in the yeast and mix then pour in the water and oil mix nicely till all get together and is soft, keep covered till it doubles in size at room temperature.
I used a stand mixer with dough hooks.
Make four balls on a bit of dusted flour. Keep on a plate and cover with a cling foil and leave again to rise for 1 hour.
Place the baking tray at the bottom shelf of the oven and preheat the oven for 20 minutes at 240°C.
take each ball onto a floured table and from the middle press towards the outside to make a circle and a bit so that the outer ring is a bit thick. Keep on a baking paper.
You could also use a pizza pan specially designed to make pizza.
Take 2 spoons of Pizza sauce and apply on the base of each pizza dough. Then place pieces of Mozzarella on top. Carefully slide the pizza onto the oven tray, be careful this is very hot so wear oven gloves. The one with only Pizza sauce and mozzarella is called Pizza Margarita
cook for around 12 min. take out the pizza and decorate with basil and sprinkle pepper powder on top.
this can be topped with all types of topping. Sliced sausages, multicoloured peppers, mushroom, chicken, pineapple, ham, olives, fresh tomatoes -----
I added Teriyaki sauce when cooking the sausages. Added fresh tomatoes, peppers of three colours, stuffed olives and covered with mozzarella cheese.
