Pizza dough - Basic

The basic recipe for your yeast dough creations such as pizza, pide or pies. All that remains is to garnish the dough as you wish, put it in the oven and enjoy it.


Ingredients (4)

400 gm of flour

1.5 tsp salt

approx. 10 g Instant Yeast or (0.25 cube yeast)

250 ml of water

2 Tbsp olive oil


Method

Combine the flour and salt in a large bowl, crumble the yeast, stir in. Pour in water and oil, knead into a soft and smooth dough. I used a stand mixer with the dough hooks.


Allow to double in volume for approx. 1.5 hours, covered with a cling foil, at room temperature.


now the dough is ready for use



Cut this in to 4 potions and cover with cling film and keep aside for 1 hour.


now this is ready for any addition. if you have a pizza pan spread out the dough from the middle outwards so that there is a slight ridge at the edge. If you don't have a pizza pan take a parchment paper and spread out on a baking tray and spread out the dough either into a rectangle or into a circle and top as you wish.

Additional Information:

For approx. 690 g of dough. For a rectangular plate or 2 sheet moulds Ø approx. 30cm


Preparation in advance: Double the quantities, roll out the dough on baking paper, roll up, wrap in cling film and freeze. Storage: approx. 2 months
